The Tampa Bay Ukulele Society (TBUS) was founded in 2009. With over 2500 members we are the largest and most active ukulele club in the world.

We hold events throughout the year including open mic nights, jams, workshops, concerts and 4 annual festivals including The Tampa Bay Ukulele Getaway (http://www.tampabayukulele.com/?fbclid=IwAR2AgLF9di_CRwsAdp9XeTTQ9mCmt4a7DN2Yxvs9v7AHQjcTumfQexCa4fM) .

Our mission is to provide entertainment, education and community service opportunities for our members. Through our TBUS Cares (http://www.tbuscares.org/?fbclid=IwAR0W5x9fOAQ2aVdeVCSu4C6_9t9FCvNQRFiPVrCx-MV5uH4p-VApPVAzQEA) program we have made donations to over a dozen charities, donated ukuleles to Libraries and Schools, and donated the time of our members to teach beginner ukulele workshop programs at libraries in Hillsborough, Pasco, Hernando and Pinellas Counties.

TBUS Sunday Afternoon Jam Session

St Petersburg Public Library

Tampa Bay Ukulele Society will hold a Sunday Afternoon Jam Session at the St. Petersburg Main Library-[masked]th Ave North, St. Petersburg, Fl. Social Time from 1:45pm to 2:10 pm or so... and then jam until about 4:00 pm. We will take a ~10-15 min break at about 3pm This event will have opportunities for ukulele players of all skill levels. We always welcome any songs you want to print out and share with the group. Don’t forget your Daily Ukulele Song Book (Yellow Book) and the Leap Year Edition (Blue Book). When the songlist is ready it will either be here as a link or in the comments section Please download or print these songs and bring them with you to the Jam session. Note that if you are having trouble downloading or printing, notify us no later than Friday before or else it may be too late to help you! This jam will be led by Sue & Leslie and repeats the 1st Sunday of every month!

Ukulele Open Mic Night at The Ohana Cafe

Ukulele Open Mic Night at The Ohana Café takes place on the first Wednesday of every month from 6:00 to 8:30 pm. The Ohana Cafe is a casual, family-friendly cafe with indoor dining, A/C and a full healthy menu with an Island Flare! Here is a link to their website: http://www.TheOhanaCafe.com Be sure to sign up for the open mic when you arrive, and have a few songs prepared. Players of all levels are welcome to perform in this supportive environment. Please don't forget to support our host venue by ordering something off the menu, appetizer, salads, dinner, drinks, or smothies. They also serve beer and wine. A few notes: What does the word Ohana mean? "Part of Hawaiian culture, Ohana means family. The concept emphasizes that families are bound together."
