Ukulele Workshop & Concert with Lil' Rev!

  • Jan 5, 2013 · 1:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Join award winning ukulele master Lil' Rev as he presents his newest workshop: Intros & Endings are for Everyone.

Learn an exciting grab bag of classic intros and endings from the Broadway, Rock, Country and Blues Idioms. As you explore a dozen different intros and endings you'll learn how to move them up the neck, creating exciting chord inversions and helping you move from simple open chords forms to colorful chord variations further up the fretboard.

This class is open to anyone who already knows some basic chords and has a willingness to venture a little further up the neck. There will be a good balance between easy, intermediate and a few challenging examples. Once you learn these tasty little pieces of American Music history, you can then apply them to almost any tune in your repertoire.

After the workshop, Lil' Rev will perform a set of his acclaimed roots-driven music just for TBUS members.

The cost for this event is $20.00 for the workshop (1:30 to 3:00 pm) $10.00 for the concert (3:30 to 5:00 pm) or $25.00 for both.

Currently Lil' Rev writes instructional books for Hal Leonard Publishing, presents clinics all over the U.S. and tours internationally as a performer of time honored classics. Visit Lil' Rev's website for more details. Don't miss this chance to see this great performer/teacher in person!

Should I bring concert or baritone? Will we have music to look at? I'm more comfortable with the baritone tuning and can't transpose fast enough for the concert if there is no music?????

    December 6, 2012

    • Nickie M.

Ann, bring whatever you are the most comfortable with!

      December 8, 2012

Lil Rev's does play baritone on a few tunes in concert, but his workshop material will be for C tuning.
