I am a singer songwriter here in Florida. I own a Luna, an Ohana, and a Kala, We make music together! I run South Tampa Jam, Weds Beginner Sessions, and am in pursuit of opening an Ukulele Open Mic over here in Tampa. Happy to get East Side Uke'N!

What Norine M. is saying about this Meetup Group

Ya know, I started out kicking and screaming, and being led by the teeth to come to an Ukulele jam night. That was August of 2012. I fell in love with the Uke and the Group as soon as the first few songs had been played. I started playing my guitar capo'l on the fifth fret, so that I could learn Uke chords before buying one. Then having proven to my husband that it wasn't just another whim, he bought my first Uke for Xmas. I have now been playing my Mona Leah (my luna high tide), for about 8 months now. I am leading a Beginner Session for people here in Tampa and am also a leader now for the South Tampa Jam which takes place once a month. I have to say that if there were NO TBUS, I probably wouldn't have gotten so smitten with the Ukulele at all. It was because of the meetups and jams, the community togetherness, the go give spirit of Jay Nunes and the dedication and commitment of Steve Boisen, that I am here today, and part of this exceptional group of folks. TBUS Rocks!
