Todays walk is 5.5/6 miles, is all flat, but maybe muddy in places. We walk along Mill Street towards the Wetland Trust Centre and the join the bank of the river Arun towards South Stoke, where we cross the river by footbridge. We walk back along the other bank of the river for awhile, then we peel of to the hamlet of Burpham, with its picturesque church, old school and pub. We then go back to the river bank and return to Arundel where we can have lunch in any of the pubs, restaurants, tea rooms.
If you park in London Road at the top of the town by the large churches, it should be free. Otherwise there are several pay and display car parks within the town.
Well behaved dogs welcome, although we cannot guarantee your dog will be allowed into the pub. Dogs on a lead if requested by the walk leader.
Walks are charged at £2 per walk, this is paid directly to Paul on the day please. The charge helps towards the costs of the pre-walk recee, purchase of local maps etc, and contribution towards the running of the group.
