We did this short hike last year and it was a lot of fun, and very pretty. We'll meet up at Harriet Island (see above for the right parking lot) and then head up the Wabasha bridge and take a walking tour of downtown Saint Paul parks while the holiday lights are up. Our plan (which could change according to the leader's whim or the wishes of the group) is to meet at Harriett Island, walk across to Raspberry Island, cross the Wabasha bridge, and then down to Mears Park admire the ice skaters at Landmark Center, and then head over to Rice Park.
Dress warm and wear decent snow/hiking boot/shoes.
Depending on the wishes of the group or whim of the leader, we might stop along the way for a libaton or two and/or some food. Because of that, you probably don't want to bring your dog and/or child along.
Depending on what we feel like doing, we might head over to El Toro after the hike for a bite to eat. http://www.eltoromn.com/default.htm
**Please be courteous with your RSVPs. If you have RSVP'd "yes," we will be looking for you at the start.
**You do not need to RSVP "no" if you can't make it. If you don't RSVP "yes," we know you're not going to make it. The leader gets an email with every RSVP (and every changed RSVP), and we are trying to avoid a deluge of emails from people just telling us that they aren't coming.
