Free Pool Lesson & Pool Playing, Socializing Meetup

Hello Everyone. I have decided to cancel the Pool Meetups thru the winter. We will rethink the whole meetup and tweak it with some improvements and hopefully offer it again in the spring/summer. Some suggestions were to have a 3rd instructor and break into 3 groups so we would have an intermediate group, along with our fundamental group and our advanced group. We are open to other suggestions as well to make this the best possible experience for everyone. We are all here to promote the great sport of billiards. Something you can have fun with whether you or good at pool or not. Give us your suggestions.

You can still come out on any night, or make plans with others in the group to meet and play pool. It just will not be part of an organized Meetup.

Thanks for all your support and the fun times. We have all made many friends thru this meetup and hopefully we can continue those fun times this spring.

This month's instructors will be Daxs and Carl, both excellent instructors and players. Toni will also be there for Q&A and to keep it lively and moving.

Each month we offer a special price on the "Beer of the Month" and a drink special. It will be announced here closer to the day of the meetup.

We invite a minimum of three other Meetup groups each month, so the RSVP list is much larger than shown here. Plus, some people come in last-minute with no RSVP. Usually we get 30 to 40 people so the energy level is high.

This is a fun opportunity to play pool and brush up on your pool playing skills with a Free Pool Lesson. After the lesson, everyone is invited to stay for the Pool Playing Social. During the social pool playing we usually rotate players/tables every 15 minutes to allow everyone to play everyone else. There are plenty of tables for everyone so no one has to wait. If you only want to come for the free lesson and leave, that's OK but we hope you'll stay and have fun. If you want to stay and play after the free lesson, there is a $10 flat fee for the table usage. If you want to just hang out and socialize and not play, that's OK too.

Attendance: We usually invite other Meetup groups to join us each month so the total attendance is normally more than indicated on this group. Usually we have 30 to 50 people show up. The Twin Cities Pool Meetup Group meets every 3rd Friday of the month.

7pm to 8pm Free pool lessons. (Usually runs over as we have so much to talk about)

Specially geared for beginners and first level players, but advanced level players will get a lot out of these lessons too. Get answers to your questions about aiming, banking, cue ball control, stance, position play. Bring any questions you have, we will answer them. All skill levels are invited. Please indicate if you will be there for the lesson. If we have a large group for the lessons we will invite extra guest instructors to help out by creating more (smaller) groups. You will get extra attention during the lessons this way. We usually break into 2 groups for beginner and advanced. Dont be shy, we all miss shots!

8pm to 12midnight. Twin City Pool Meetup. Get on a table and play! (Socializing Mixer)

All skill levels welcome. We will play randomly to start, then every 15 to 20 minutes we will switch player/tables and play someone new. This will allow everyone to play more people, socialize, have fun, with less emphasis on winning the game. We have plenty of pool tables for everyone so no one has to wait. We will have plenty of extras to make it an even number and to challenge the good players. $10 flat fee for the table rental from 8pm to 12 if you decide to stay and play.

In the past some members wanted to continue the social pool tournament so we will also run it again on adjoining tables for anyone who prefers the tourney instead of the social playing.
