Code Retreat

Code Retreat is a day-long, intensive practice event, focusing on the fundamentals of software development and design, away from the pressures of 'getting things done'. More information: https://www.coderetreat.org/pages/about/

During the event you will work with different partners to discuss and solve a simple programming problem (Conway's Game of Life) using various different approaches. After each round, throw away your code and repeat, so there is no pressure of finishing it and you can focus on practising the fundamentals.

** Preparations **
Bring our laptop, prepared with a development environment: any programming language, some unit testing library and git. For an easy project setup, https://github.com/swkBerlin/kata-bootstraps may be useful.
