This group is a women in tech mentoring group. It has been formed after a number of women met at the 2013 She's Geeky conference in Seattle. We realized that we would like to create a forum where we can meet, be open to each other, talk about problems we have at work, ask for help or professional advice, get to know people who've been where we are, etc. This group was created as an attempt to build such a forum.
Beginning of 2015, a project called She's Coding was created - She's Coding is a community-driven open-source project whose goal it is to help close the gender gap in tech. It went live end of April 2015, with a website built by an amazing team of volunteers! If you are interested in joining She's Coding, let the meetup organizers know - we are constantly on the lookout for people of all kind of skill sets and levels.
While this group is a meeting point for people interested in and involved with She's Coding, that is not a necessity. Ultimately we want to create a supportive and safe place for women in technology.
