Spam apology + new features

Hey folks, sorry about the spam message that just came through from virtual vision. I've removed/banned them from our meetup group. If we get any more of this sort of thing I'll talk to Matt about changing the group so that new members will require approval, which should address the issue.

And since I've already bothered you, here's a few little updates ...

Twitter feed: Yup, you can now follow to get tweets whenever one of us posts something new.  Those of you twitter-pated, twitter-o-philes out there (and you know who you are) might find this useful.

Email notification on comments: When commenting on blog posts just check the new "Notify me of followup comments" checkbox to receive an email if anyone else comments on the same post.  Don't worry getting inundated in email - apparently nothing we're writing yet is interesting enough to prompt much commentary. ;-) )

IgniteBend: Not real "tech" but I know Jen Floyd, of COWPU fame, is helping out with IgniteBend #1.  They've sold out of the [free] tickets, but I'm betting last minute walk-ins probably won't be turned away.  It wouldn't hurt to ask Rachel just in case.

Authors wanted? We're still looking for people interested in blogging about our local tech scene. If you know of anyone who might be interested or whose already writing about tech stuff, let us know.    We'd like to connect with them and see what synergy develops.

(Cr*p, did I just use "synergy" in a serious sentence?  Man, I'm losing my geek street-cred in a hurry these days.  Time to do more physics story problems.)
