Columbus ATDD Developers Group - Automated testing of Windows apps with Cucumber

  • Apr 4, 2013 · 11:30 AM
  • Nationwide Insurance

In this first meeting of Spring this year, we have Levi Wilson speaking on Automating Windows Applications with Cucumber!

When we think of writing automated tests with ruby and cucumber, native Windows applications are not the first thing that come to mind. If you have looked into writing acceptance tests for Windows applications (written in .NET), chances are you have come across solutions such as SpecFlow or Raconteur, but what are the options if we want to drive our tests from ruby using cucumber or RSpec?

This talk will walk through a couple of gems that allow us to be able to write automated tests for native Windows applications, some of the drawbacks as well as how to go about automating an application in a live coding session.

We are meeting at Nationwide's building at Rings Road. Conference room - 1C.

Thank you Nationwide for hosting us and sponsoring lunch!
