There is a much heftier hike if you continue on to Lake Serene and you are certainly welcome to climb the half-a-million stone stairs that it takes to get to that lake up there, and a beautiful lake it is. But on this day we are going to head up to Bridal Veil Falls which is a shorter hike but it certainly has it's share of stairs as well.
In the first part of November there is likely to be a lot of water coming over the rocks of the falls which will make for a beautiful site on this mid fall day. Plus, there is likely still going to be a lot of fall colors out there both in the forest and as we look out on to the valley floor below us when we get to the falls.
The falls are definitely beautiful at almost any time of the year and I'm sure that we won't be disappointed on this trip either.
This is a 4 mile round trip with a 1000 foot elevation gain which means that it averages 500 feet per mile but certainly most of the 1000 feet comes at the end so get ready to huff and puff a bit on this one.
See you all at the NORTH SIDE of the Green Lake Park n Ride at 8am.
The rideshare for this trip is $11 per person.
