This group aims to attract members who identify with the term "Cultural Creatives" (CC's) as described by sociologists Paul Ray and Sherry Anderson in 2000 - see characteristics in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Cultural_Creatives .

Ray and Anderson assert "values are the best single predictor of real behaviour".

- Authenticity, actions consistent with words and beliefs
- Engaged action and whole systems learning; seeing the world as interwoven and connected
- Idealism and activism
- Globalism and ecology
- The growing cultural significance of women

Core "Cultural Creatives" also value altruism, self-actualization, and spirituality.

The percentage of adult people in the USA is now estimated to be about 50%, up from about 25% when the book was written.

CC's share similar values and enjoy each other's company.

Meetings will generally consist of watching a thought-provoking documentary that aligns with Cultural Creative values, followed by a discussion or mini-workshop.
