สิ่งที่เกี่ยวกับเรา
We are a southern New Hampshire based ukulele group. SNHUG's primary purpose is to provide a forum for area ukesters of all levels to share songs, techniques and friendship while learning more about everyone's favorite instrument. The secondary function will be one of community service. We currently support The Ukulele Kid's Club, a 501c3 charity providing instruments and music therapy to children nationwide (theukc.org) Also on an all volunteer, non profit basis, the group will be available for area fund raisers that we collectively deem worthy of our support.
Meetings are every other Friday night in Brentwood NH.
Regardless of ability level, if you love the ukulele and want to be notified, please sign up for this meetup and details will come to you as they are posted.

Have you ever thought it would be fun to put some of your own lyrics in to a song you enjoy? Well, here's your opportunity... 1- Pick out a song (or two) you like to play on the ukulele. It can be as simple as Row, Row Your Boat or maybe a pop song on the radio that you like. It really doesn't matter. 2- Rewrite the lyrics with your own (like Weird Al Yankovic does). Just remember to keep it rated PG. 3- Write the new lyrics out with the song chords. Try to use a format similar to what we use on our website (chords in brackets) or at least a format that the group can easily follow. 4- Make a PDF of the document and send it to [masked] (if you don't have access to a PDF translator then send me the Word file and I can translate it for you). I will compile all the songs in to a single document for the March 29th jam. 5- When your song(s) comes up you can lead the group in playing along. Here are some examples of people that have posted songs like this on the web: https://youtu.be/0iRflR7YhsU https://youtu.be/6zogSeottoA https://youtu.be/6VLt7B5_vuk We meet every other Friday in Brentwood. We start with a jam, rehearsal, or combo of both. No need for music stands as we project the chords and lyrics on a projection screen. Later we wrap up with a 30 or 40 minute open mike, where members perform for the group. Suggestions and volunteers for leading the jams, lessons and open mike session are always welcome. Whether you are an old pro or total newbie there are smiles all around just for you. See you soon!

This is a beginners/intermediate group that is attendee-driven: depending on the interests of the group, we will be focusing on various skills, sharing favorite songs, or just jamming! After starting this group last winter, we ended with a successful kids' summer program and had a great performance night with the students and SNHUG. Now we are ready to get back to our regular Wednesdays and see where they take us! Details for each meetup will be in the comments section. Feel free to suggest songs or offer to lead us!
