Tuning Into the Chakras




The Sanskrit word Chakra literally translates to wheel ☸️or disk. In yoga and meditation🧘🧘‍♂️ this term refers to wheels of energy throughout the body. Invisible energy called Prana, is a vital life force, which keeps us vibrant, healthy, and alive. This “Our energy body” ⚡
The human body has 7 energy centers called Chakras, which flow through the spine, starting from the base of the spine through to the crown of the head.

Why Is It Beneficial? ✨
When these energy centres are healthy and open or aligned so are we - Physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Since everything in life is constantly moving, it’s important that our seven main chakras stay open, aligned, and fluid. If there is a blockage, energy cannot flow.
When they become blocked or fall out of alignment through injury, illness, extreme stress and anxiety or a disconnection from others and the self we are in turn held back from being our best selves - connecting to our true selves. This affects our behaviour and thoughts and relationships.

What To Expect: 🙌
During this workshop Sabrina Asana Tribe / Asana Tribe will be guiding you through a flow of all the chakras.
We will begin with Pranayama (Connecting Mind to Breath) as we connect to the breath we will begin to bring an awareness to our “energy body”
Followed by warming the body up with 🌞Sun Salutations/ Surya Namaskar (Connecting Mind to Body) bringing an awareness to our “physical body”
Once we have connected mind, body and breath we will begin with the flow - Using particular yoga postures that activate and engage into each chakra, as we enter each chakra we will awaken its vibration by chanting its Bija Mantra.
The first three chakras, starting at the base of the spine are chakras of matter. They are more physical in nature. Chakras of Matter

Our Heart / Anahata chakra is the bridge between the first 3 and the last 3, uniting the lower chakras of matter and the upper chakras of spirit.

When we work through our physical chakras, or the first three, we can open the spiritual chakras more fully.

💜Third Eye / Ajna

We close the practice with a delicious Savasana and Yoga Nidra (Guided meditation) 🤤🌈🦄

Combining Asana, Mantra, Visualisation and intention you will be guided into a journey of balance, a place where can build that awareness and bring balance to each chakra. 🙏
