Hello to my fellow Gilmore Girls fans, followers, and devotees. Gilmore Girls aired 20 years ago yet still captures our hearts & keeps us coming back for more!
I've noticed that people who love Gilmore Girls are always happy to meet other fans. We also share some common interests: pop culture, movies, reading, travel, coffee.. does that sound familiar? I think there are many GG fans out there that would make fast friends if given the chance. This is that chance! New fans of the show are always welcome. We love sharing the girls and Stars Hollow with new fans.
This group is being formed in November 2020. COVID lockdowns seem imminent and I know it's going to be a tough winter ahead. I'll be turning to my Gilmore Girls to carry me through it like they have during countless rough patches in the past. I am thinking that it would be nice to have a community of fans to share with.
Examples of some events I am thinking of hosting virtually:
1. Watch nights of favorite episodes and discussions afterwards
2. Watching movies or reading books that are talked about in the show
3. Coffee tastings and discussions
4. Recipe testing from the Gilmore Girls cookbook (I own it!)
5. Crafts nights based on GG themes (I am an art teacher)
I am open to more suggestions from the group. I hope that this is a fun way to meet new people through something fun that I love during a time where that seems impossible otherwise.
