LOA Clackamas River Float!

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Time to float! We will all meet at Carver park, buy our $8 parking passes, park our cars, and shuttle up together to Barton park from there. This way, once we are done, everyone can just get in their cars and go. I will take the few (wet) shuttle drivers back to their cars at Barton afterwards. Carver Park has huge (city maintained) parking lots at each end.

What you’ll need to bring:

-Swimwear

-The ability to swim!

-Your own floatation device (Tube, inflatable mattress, floating party island). Sports stores have everything you could ask for. (Pro tip: Stay away from cheap pool floaties....trust me.)

What you are recommended to bring:

-Water Shoes (because.... Rocks.)

-Sunscreen (Lather up y’all!! It's gonna be sunny.)

-Water (Potable H2O that isn't from the river.... maybe hydrate the day before as well, the sun is NOT forgiving.)

-Dry Bag (Carry all your own stuff down the river and don't leave belongings in other peoples cars. )

Also:

-Respect all people. Part of our group or not. This day is about good vibes and having fun with friends. Don't ruin anyone else's day.

-Respect nature. This is one of the most naturally beautiful areas in the country, and it's up to us to keep it that way. Do not litter, and please clean up after yourself. This will be enforced.

-Drink responsibly. The river is no place to be getting wasted. We don’t want anyone getting injured (or worse) on this trip, and if you do bring some drinks, DO NOT bring glass bottles. There is no alcohol allowed at all public parks.
