What we’re about
Left wing? Live or work in East London? Interested in meeting up with other advanced Arabic speakers to discuss the state of British politics, the ‘situation’ in the Middle East or simply the latest Arabic TV show you watched? Then join this group.
The only requirements are that:
- You are left wing
- You speak advanced Arabic or higher
- You are willing to refrain from speaking English in the group unless it is to ask a question about the Arabic language that you cannot articulate in Arabic
- You are able to cancel at least two hours before the meet up if you are no longer able to make it.
Strictly no racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, ableism or any other unpleasant behaviour that I may not have anticipated!
(I speak a mish-mash of Palestinian and Saudi dialect, but would love to try to familiarise myself with dialects from other countries!)
