LSCLondon Farewell: Bye to all the Lean-Startup Folks Networking
Lean Startup has been playing an important role to shape the current startup landscape. It is not just all the buzzwords about MVP, pivots and so on. It is the scientific thinking that cut down a lot of waste of startup founder's time and resources. As one of the earliest Lean Startup communities in the world, we are very proud of what we've achieved. We have hosted numerous meet-ups and supported each other in the startup journey. Since more and more people see Lean-startup as "common knowledge" in the startup community, we find the interest in lean startup is shift slightly towards the corporate world. That is why it is probably the time for this community to evolve. As the current organising team, we've decided to move away from Lean Startup Circle London. But be not afraid! In order to continue spreading the mission and the Lean Startup movement, we are handing over the meetup to Lean Startup Co's London ambassadors: Davide and Mark. As you may already know, Lean Startup Co is Eric Reis' commercial venture. It has more focus on corporate innovation lately. At this special final event, we would like to invite all Lean Startup Circle friends to come hang out with us. We would love to thank you guys for your support in person and introduce you to the new team who are going to run the community under a new name - **Lean Startup Night**. All proceeds raised are going to Room to Read, a wonderful charity focussing on improving literacy across the digital divide in Asia and Africa. Program: 6:30 pm Doors open: Pizza, beer, soft drinks and informal introduction to the Business Model Canvas 7:00 pm Welcome and farewell to Lean Startup Circle with Josh Liu et al. Followed by: 7:05 pm "Love the problem" by Davide Turi, co-founder at StudioZao and Business Coach at Imperial College London. He will be speaking about how focusing on customer problems has helped a FTSE250 company to innovate effectively. 7:30 "Understand your customer to serve your prospects" by Jordie Black, Founder CEO Copy and Check. She is Author of "Reframe", a book about the importance of understanding your customer and how you can use that understanding to better serve your prospects. 8:00pm Lean Connect - drinks, and canvas breakdowns: create your own canvas on the night, or bring one with you, and receive 1:1 advice from experts 8:30pm Networking - continue the conversation a bar round the corner See you there!!
