Mike, were you able to DRIVE to County Line TH or had to walk?

We drove. The road was clear.

I was in Emigrant from Bourland Meadow, had to walk the last mile: there was a single but thick snow patch at 7200'.

By my map, the Bourland Meadow parking is at 7200', so not sure what you mean.

A ranger says Crabtree is open, Gianelli is snow the last 1/4 mile.

County Line is clear - good, thanks for the info! Unusually early this year. Planning on Dardanelles from there on June 8, now my first concern is the creek still running. Should be OK, though, - still lots of snow in the forest.

Last weekend, ranger was saying - Gianelly, Crabtree, and Bell meadows were still all closed. The road to Bourland Meadow was blocked just before the fork to Box Springs, should be open by now. It's melting fast; Gianelly, too, might open by Memorial. Still, expect some snow in the forest: last week, on the ridge from Bourland Meadow up (from 7200, as you say), it was about 50% cover under trees.

On 25-27, our route goes mostly in the open, then down into Piute. Will likely see some snow a short way from parking and around 1-st Chain, no further. Camp at Studhorse, then dayhike towards Louse, straight / crosscountry. Your plans?
