Why Trolling Cannot Be Allowed Here

Why Trolling and Concern Trolling cannot be allowed here.

L.A. Meetup poker has a *10-year history of drama* around the topic of donations to hosts for hosting games.

Trolling is posting a ruse of "just asking" (JAQ'ing off) and is a thinly veiled judgmental diatribe targeting a person and creates a theater for public shaming for a person who is simply trying to host a game for the membership at-large. (*infected at another Meetup poker group and migrated here as those members joined our group)

Contact the host directly and OFFLINE with questions about donations. Attempts to create a public trial on any of our community websites will be treated as Trolling.

Trolling, if left unmanaged --destroys the group because it drives hosts away from the website. Other members who may have considered hosting reconsider after witnessing this public scrutiny rounders hosts have been subjected to.

No host=no games, no games=no group.

Did you know? More rounders members host their games "off" the website rather than "on".

There are two core reasons why members do not post their home games on our website:
1. Public shaming by Trolls and Concern Trolls regarding donations to hosts.
2. Hosts wish to control who they invite and more importantly NOT invite to their games.

If the trend continues and our calendar becomes empty, logically we must shutdown our website and stop paying for a web presence that is empty and provides nothing.

Persons who troll peaceful web communities feel they have a right to do so and there is nothing I or anyone can say that will convince them otherwise. It is the nature of the troll to feel compelled to judge, evaluate, discredit, and evangelize their rationale because they are "concerned for others".

The mission of our group and purpose of our website is to provide a calendar of home games people can choose from and is based on letting the membership decide for themselves if they want to attend a game or not. Members are encouraged to contact the host directly and offline if they have questions about game donations.

Our website is not intended as forum for trolls who wish to publish their opinion of what a proper home game should be, we let the membership at-large decide and they are largely not interested in the opinion of trolls.

We cannot allow trolling here because we cannot ignore behavior that drives hosts away from our website and essentially destroys the group.

Trolls will be removed from the group without warning. This is your warning.
