Need advice for technology stack

Hello All,

I need some advice on building up my website. This will essentially be a online training website and want to build around new technologies so that I can learn and support them going forward. I am a Java developer with good amount of experience but do not have much hands on in the web world.
I would need advice about the technology stack that I should use:
1. For Front End - HTML5, bootstrap, ?
2. Back End - Server side - Spring MVC, Angular JS , Any other ?
3. Data base : no sql ( Mongo, cassandra ) , or my sql?

My website should support these features:
1. login
2. play training videos.
3. User session and content management.
4. Discussion board.

Will look forward for any suggestion. Once I finalize the stack with your help I will start learning them.

Best,
Vivek

Hi Vivek (also responded to your post on NY Tech),
If you are planning this idea as a business, I'd keep it simple but efficient, easy to use and clean looking. You can always learn new tech on a testing Website that won't involve too many 'members'.

* User login can be a simple FORM to Perl/PhP script
* Videos can simply be HTML5 page embedded with older tech and Flash fallback.
* I use Perl sending to basic dataBase or text files, but MySQL works well.
* There are many forum softwares out there. You could build your own, but why reinvent the wheel. Alternatively, you could interface with forum services like Google offers.
