Meetup One Hundred and Thirty Two: The Talented Mr. Ripley

Details
Hey team - We're moving on from the dark, violent streets of Harlem to the sunny, but deadly, beaches of Italy. For the month of July we will be reading Patricia Highsmith's 1955 classic of the crime genre, The Talented Mr. Ripley. Never has a con man become such a part of American literary culture and the introductory novel of Tom Ripley has been adapted into movies and TV shows. Trying to get away from his ignominious past, Ripley is hired to bring a playboy son, Dickie Greenleaf, back from gallivanting in Italy. Ripley becomes entranced with Dickie's wealthy lifestyle, a fascination that quickly becomes obsession. An obsession that soon becomes deadly.
This book should be easy to find. The version on Amazon is just shy of 300 pages. I will be out of the city the last week of July, hence the shift to early August, but next meetup will be back to our usual last Wed of the month schedule.
