The Art of Self-Hypnosis:

Change can be difficult, especially when we try to initiate changes at the conscious level. That’s because the conscious mind make up only around 10-12% or our total mind power. By contrast, the subconscious encompasses the other 90ish% (and some would argue it's even more). This vast portion of our mind houses the unconscious programs that influence virtually everything we do. If these programs aren’t congruent with our conscious desires, it’s not hard to see which part of the mind will get its way.

Hence, without access to the subconscious mind, initiating changes in our lives can be very difficult. Fortunately, however, through the process of self-hypnosis, we can open a doorway into the subconscious, and then consciously reprogram it to match our conscious desires.

Via this meetup, we’ll be offering self-hypnosis classes to teach you the art of reprogramming your own subconscious mind. This is an extremely powerful tool when used on a regular basis. Any idea that the subconscious mind accepts, it projects outward into your experience of life.

 So what is hypnosis?

Basically it’s a relaxed state of awareness (similar to a meditative state) that we naturally enter multiple times per day. The big difference between the hypnotic state and your normal state of conscious awareness, is that while in hypnosis you’re more suggestible/receptive to new ideas—like positive hypnotic suggestions.

How is self-hypnosis different than hypnotherapy?

The obvious difference is that hypnotherapy is facilitated by a practitioner, and self-hypnosis is self-facilitated. And while working with a hypnotherapist is more powerful in a single session, self-hypnosis is easy, free, and it’s something you can do on your own every day. When you do this, you can’t help but transform over time.

What can Self-Hynosis be used for?

A lot. Hypnosis can benefit you on multiple levels. First off, just entering the very relaxed hypnotic state will naturally dissolve stress and tension that your body may be holding on to. This in and of itself will offer many benefits. In addition, by opening the door to your subconscious mind, and implanting positive new ideas via hypnotic suggestions, you’ll, over time, reprogram the old patterns and quite literally change your neurology to match the reality you want to experience. Listed are just a few of the possible applications:

 Self improvement
Weight Management
Confidence & Empowerment
Smoking Cessation
Accelerated Healing
Increased Creativity
Motivation
Stress Reduction
Law of Attraction Purposes
