🏵🎬MIDSOMMAR: DIRECTOR'S CUT + DRINKS🍺

🌸💀🇸🇪 LET THE FESTIVALS BEGIN
Even if you are deeply traumatised by grief and for the sake of cultural anthropology research and would you make the same choices?
I remember seeing this folk horror a few years back with a friend. We were sitting together, I was fidgeting a little and we were both wondering when is this going to end? Three days later when we spoke on the phone to our surprise we found out how much we actually liked this film. It's funny how some art forms can absorb differently through our skin and psyche. I also remember having a similar effect with a completely different movie called Starship Troopers. I hated that film when I saw it and then after a few days I realised that it wasn't that bad.
The director’s cut is something that I’ve been very curious about for quite sometime mainly because I couldn’t understand the decisions some of these characters made and I’m hoping to get some insight in this version. I guess one reason that I haven’t checked this directors cut is because the original version was already considerable long, needless to say, you may need a little patience to get through this movie.
I am fascinated to take a look at this extended cut through a cultural and sociological lens. As I look back at different types and stages of our societies around the world, I have realised that interpersonal relationships are much more than just cultural experiences especially when it comes to the politics in academic circles. Whether you are in high school or intellectual circles, the reality is altered particularly in the younger years of our lives where we are clearly driven. We are eager to find out or impress at all cost for the sake of others or for the sake of the written word. No reflection of my life, LOL. So join me for some research and a drink.
