A brutal classic that proved horror doesn’t need the dark to be terrifying. Let’s unpack the horror masterpiece that carved its way into film history.

Alright everyone 👋 We're diving deep into the gritty, bloody heart of American horror. I'm talking about one of my favourite films inspired by the crimes of Ed Gein. This 1974 low-budget nightmare directed by Tobe Hooper redefined terror, shocked audiences, and gave us Leatherface, one of the most iconic horror villains ever. It was also banned in several countries including this one and yet it became one of the most influential horror films of all time. It made America afraid of rural gas stations forever and I highly recommend it if you haven't seen it before.

So let’s grab a drink, walk into the dark cinema and let’s crank up the fear factor as we are diving in blade-first. Check out the schedule below:

1. 5:45 PM: Meet & Greet at The Prince Charles Cinema Bar.
2. 6:15 PM: We move to Screen 1 where I have chosen seat A9 but you can choose where you feel more comfortable.
3. 8:50 PM We reconvene at the bar to discuss and score the film and have drink. The results will be posted on Letterboxd.
