We practice the 7 basic guidelines of Leave No Trace outdoor ethics .

The seven principles of the Leave No Trace ethic are:

1. Plan ahead and prepare, preferably months in advance. When you don't have the facts about where you are going or what to expect, you're more likely to cause problems not only for yourself but also for fellow trekkers.

2. Travel and camp on durable surfaces. Stay on the trail and don't wander off as per your liking. This is the most common problem we encounter on our Treks and violators will be corrected and given a warning and reexplain the importance of staying on the trail to help preserve it.

3. Dispose of waste properly. Bury or pack out excrement. Pack out all trash and food waste, including that left behind by others. Do not bury trash or food, and do not try to burn packaging materials in campfires.

4. Leave what you find. Don't take flowers or other sensitive natural resources. Don't disturb nature/historical artifacts.

5. Minimize campfire impacts. Know local regulations, which may prohibit fires.

6. Respect wildlife. Don't feed or disturb wildlife. Store foods properly to avoid attracting animals and rodents.

7. Smoking and Drinking is strictly prohibited in any of the events conducted by HTC.
