"Actor's Studio" method class!

Have you heard of the show on Bravo, The Actors Studio? If you're
intrigued about the Method made famous by James Dean and Marlon Brando,
find out in two weeks from today if it's an acting style that's good for
you.

On December 3, Dr. Becky Hale & Veleka Gray are offering two unique levels of study to tend to
the needs of both aspiring and experienced actors. From 10:30 a.m. to
12:30 p.m. kids 8 to 12 get basic training by Dr. Rebecca Hale, veteran
agent and drama teacher in the Talent Education Program in Jefferson
Parish. More experienced actors can spend the afternoon taking our
famous on-camera workshop for advanced acting from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The afternoon session is led by soap star and Emmy judge Veleka Gray.
She trained with Bobby Lewis, one of the founders of the Actors Studio,
and for six years with Warren Robertson, a student of Lee Strasberg,
artistic director of the Studio. In four hours you can get a crash
course in the Method and see the results of your new skills on camera
at
the conclusion of the workshop.

In both sessions students practice with scene partners using scripts we
provide, after which you'll watch yourself enacting your roles on TV.
Encouragement and support from the most qualified teachers in New
Orleans help you improve with every exercise. You'll practice advanced
auditioning skills, too.

Workshops will be held at the new Actors Theater of New Orleans behind
Target in Metairie, off I-10 and Clearview on the Service Road, on the
second floor of the WTIX building. Park on site behind the building or
in the mall lot.

Registration is at 10 a.m. and 12:45 p.m.

Tuition is $25 for the kids' class and $100 for the afternoon on-camera
workshop. To guarantee your place, send your tuition or deposit to Hale
Talent at 3701 Division Street, PMB 232, Metairie, LA 70002. Videotape
copies of your acting in the workshop will be just $25 each.

For more details, call Hale Talent at (504) 858-9038 or Veleka Gray at
(504) 812-3379. Be sure to tell them that you heard about the class
from Johnny Rock.
