The H.U.R.D. Casting Network - Helping yoU Reach Dreams Message Board › YOU CAN GET A GREAT ROLE FOR YOUR DEMO REEL!

Veleka G.

The casting for our next film, a feature, is nearly complete, but there are a few good roles still left for talent seeking a great scene for their demo reel.

Ask your agent if a professional demo reel would help them get you work.  If the answer is yes, you need this class.

We cast on occasion from our alumni actors, but as always, the meaty roles go to students who are actively training.

What joining us this semester offers an aspiring actor is:
• the opportunity to train with the most experienced coach in Louisiana
• hone your skills on the set as well as in class
• get film for your demo reel
• become SAG Eligible
• showcase your talent for a film director

Classes start the week of Monday, June 24.

• Metairie - Monday evenings - 7 p.m. to 10, starting June 24
• Baton Rouge - Wednesday evenings - 7 p.m. to 10, starting June 26
• Mandeville - Thursday evenings - 7 p.m. to 10, starting June 27

Tuition is $275 with a $50 deposit paid in advance, or $300 at the door.  Actors age 14 and up may enroll.  Cost of your demo scene on DVD is an additional $100.

Call 504-812-3379 or e-mail for information on how you can get started today.

"I was trying out for roles for eight years before I finally got one that made me SAG Eligible.  But that was before you became a producer.  You are the most valuable resource in the region for aspiring film actors. (And you can quote me on that.)"
~ Tony Fennelly, New Orleans

"Veleka, there are many 'gifts' you give to your students, but I am especially grateful for the sense of community that you foster and encouraging the team to support one another and foster friendships rather than feel contentious and competitive.  ❤ "
~ PJ Clarke, Gonzales

"I very much appreciate you driving and fighting for us, and the knowledge you share with us."
~ Janet Aube, Baton Rouge

"Just landed 7 commercial adds on a show for NBC sports...Thanks Veleka! :)"
~ Tony Severio, Pine Grove

"I hope to accomplish at least half of what u have. I learned so much from u, not only about acting, but myself."
~ Greg Galey, New Orleans

"It seems unreal! I just started in January and now I'm SAG eligible. Thank you for helping me get closer and closer to my dream! :)"
~ Annette Lay, Mandeville
