Come join us on this fantastic hike to Parker Mesa Overlook in Topanga State Park!
This is a 6 mile hike taking us between dramatic Topanga and Santa Inez canyons with up and down parts on a wide fire road. At our destination, we’ll be rewarded with views of the Pacific ocean and the Los Angeles basin. We’ll enjoy our snacks and drinks as we watch the moon rise up over the city and see the twinkling lights come up. There’s a good chance we’ll spot the deer feeding in the meadow at the start of the hike.
We’ll be packing in our food and beverages so bring your backpacks. As always, wear lugsoles, layers, bring plenty of water, etc.
From the 101 fwy heading south towards Los Angeles, exit at Topanga Canyon Boulevard and drive towards the beach. Continue 8 miles into Topanga Canyon to Entrada Road and turn left. NOTE: there are two Entrada Roads so pass the first one and continue to the second Entrada). Once on Entrada, stay to the left at every opportunity until you reach Trippet Ranch in Topanga State Park and the main parking lot, about one mile up. Parking is $10 but there is some street parking.
From PCH, travel north on Topanga Canyon Boulevard, then turn right on Entrada Road.
