Let's do a quick four mile hike on Wednesday to break up our week! We'll do a counter clock-wise loop heading up the ridge that overlooks Long Canyon from the Thousand Oaks entrance.
This trail has a good climb to it in the beginning, gaining 700 ft. in elevation in the first mile so it's not recommended for the novice but fit beginners would do fine.
We can grab a Margarita and some chips and salsa at Cisco's afterwards! YAY!
Distance: 4 miles approx.
Duration: 1.5 hours approx.
Trail: wide fire road with some rocky parts but mostly smooth.
We'll leave promptly at 6:00 pm so if you're late, we won't wait!
From the 101 fwy heading North, exit at Westlake Blvd and turn right. Go approx. 4 miles and turn right on Lang Ranch Parkway and follow that to the end, just before Lang Ranch Parkway makes a sharp left turn. There is plenty of parking on the street.
From the 23 fwy heading North, exit at Ave De Los Arboles. Drive to the end where it meets Westlake Blvd. and turn right. Make your first left on Lang Ranch Parkway.
