Come and join us for an urban walk in Central London! Along the way we'll be meeting and stopping to chat to our street friends, giving out socks, food and other stuff and generally having a lovely time.
Details... (listen carefully now)
The plan is to meet at The Chandos at 6:45pm for some pre-mobbing drinking and working out who's going where. Promptly at 8:00pm we'll depart in three or four groups (each containing at least one experienced mobber) and proceed on foot to our usual locations (probably Waterloo, Victoria and the Strand).
We can then all convene on another central London pub for post-mobbing carnage, thus completing a mobbing sandwich. I shall be marking this historic occasion by breaking my watery habit and consuming an alcoholic beverage. This may necessitate south-London based mobbers being on hand to carry me to the tube, or at least provide me with warm socks in case I don't make it all the way home.
Which pub should we go to second? Please suggest below!
For new people - what we actually do:
The number one most important thing to bring is an open mind and a desire to break down boundaries and spent social time chatting to people living on the street. We also use this opportunity to distribute a few of the bare essentials to people - clothes, food, etc. Any old clothes you have that would be suitable would be greatly appreciated, and a few things to eat or and a flask of tea or soup always go down well! You DON'T need to go out and buy socks to give out or anything like that, as we have access to all kinds of stuff insanely cheaply.
I will put some socks on the table we're at to identify us. If anyone has any problems finding us just give me a call on[masked]
