I learned more about the human tragedies in the factory farming industry. I was not aware that 50%, or thereabouts, of the workers have chronic bronchitis. Just so America can have meat on their plates. I learned that most of the workers are from across the border and are stuck here doing incredibly repetitive and digusting tasks that can only be devastating to them and their respective families, physically and psychologically. Just so America can have meat on their plates. I learned that the night cleaning crews of these dungeons of death have it the worst, inhaling bleach and blood as they spray massive amounts of water, (what a terrible waste of water), to clean these machines, while they are running. How dangerous and toxic. Just so America can have meat on their plates.
It is not all about just the animal cruelty, the environment, is also the human toll as well.
