"Having Our Say
The Delany Sisters' First 100 Years"
103-year-old Sadie and 101-year-old Bessie Delany are preparing dinner in remembrance of their father's birthday. While they cook, they recount a fascinating series of events and anecdotes drawn from their rich family history and their careers as pioneering African American professional women. As descendants of slaves, they have seen their fair share of turbulent times, and yet they forge into the present, with a little daily yoga to help along the way. Having Our Say is our history. It celebrates women and men, African Americans, our country, and the indomitable human spirit.
Written by Emily Mann. Directed by Andrea Frye.
Once again, we are able to offer 35-UP Members and their friends, $10 tickets to this fourth production of the Season! Normally tickets are $25 to $40 each, but this is a Fundraiser for the Roswell Lions Club and we are able to offer you a great deal! As this is the first dress rehearsal night, we get to see the show before anyone else in town. The Roswell Lions Club wishes to personally thank you for all your support attending these events. The money raised goes to support our many programs, headlined by our Eyesight Roswell program that ensures that all Roswell school students have eyeglasses for their studies.
The doors to the theater seating open at 7:15 for a 7:30 pm performance start time. Our table will be set up for check-in starting at 6:15 pm for those who wish to come early and get in line! Remember, it's open seating!!!!!
