Tijuana Jazz and Blues Festival May 25

SORRY to be so late on listing this, but it's not a difficult thing to do, so maybe some of you can enjoy this opportunity. Its an all day concert of jazz and blues by local groups, starting at noon on the 25th. Place is Revolution Avenue, right in from of Ceasars restaurant. There will be rows of seats in the street, and plenty of food and drink available. Depending on the response we could meet and seat, or just wander around. There is no fee for the music. If anybody's interested, let me know and we'll work out details.

Sorry couldn't make it, my girlfriend kind of screwed up my schedule that day. Hop to see you next week at the beer festival though which I am hosting.

Good choice Lin. Thanks for putting this together. It was super easy to get to and the music and food was great. It was nice to meet some very interesting people also. Just a nice afternoon overall.

Ceasars will probably be VERY crowded. That's the whole idea of this thing. :-) But there are a lot of seats, and service in the street. I we want to get a meal other than what's available on the spot, there are lots of place within a couple of blocks and we can pick one everybody agrees on. This is free-wheeling, but not that many people and I'm sure we can have a good time and work things out as they come.

Great. I'll look for you and the Linditas in the cheap seats. :-) And if I don't spot you by 1 PM, I'll be in front of Carl Juniors.

Ok, I'll be there with my buddy between 1130 and 12.

So does that work for everybody. I'll probably be there at 12, but I don't want everybody stressing out on who's where. At one, we'll have seats or whatever, and can find each other. If the trolley's late or whatever, shouldn't matter.

Here's my suggestion to meet up. It's not hard to get to, and if you're there, you're there. To avoid punctuality, let's say that we hook up at 1 PM. I'd suggest in front of Carl Juniors, which is right on the Corner of Revu and Fifth, in the same building as Ceasars. Should be behind the stage. Think that works? If not, what other suggestions?

Aww man, I'm going to be south of Ensenada. Which is cool in its own right, but I would've enjoyed this festival.

I live in TJ, so will not be crossing. But it is very easy to get to the Festival. If there is no "leader" to meet up on the USA side, just walk across and grab a cab to "Revolucion" "Ceasars" or "Jazz Festival". If a group wants to walk, just head west on the broad esplanade from McDonalds, cross the river, and when you reach the big "St. Louis Arch" head south up Revolucion until the street's blocked. It will be five blocks to Ceasar's.
Those who RSVP can agree on a meeting place at the Festival, and any other details.

    May 21, 2014

  • Lin Robinson changed the location to Ceasar's

    May 21, 2014

  • Lin Robinson removed the location. It was Hotel Caesars
