Bring an open source hardware board of preference for a mechatronic good time. Novices to advanced, adults, kids, enthusiasts at all levels welcome.
Feel free to bring snacks, soda or beer. Sometimes we raise enough funds for pizza.
Please be considerate of others and RSVP if you plan to attend. We have limited seating and those that signed up are expecting to have a place to work on their project. To ensure table area is available no more guests slots for now. Have your friend register so we can cut off at the correct amount.
Folks start rolling in at 6:00pm but others don't arrive until 7:00-ish. Here are some sample boards to fiddle with. We have extra Arduino's if you want to try this out at no risk.

Arduino is a tool for making computers that can sense and control more of the physical world than your desktop computer. It's an open-source physical computing platform based on a simple microcontroller board, and a development environment for writing software for the board.
Arduino can be used to develop interactive objects, taking inputs from a variety of switches or sensors, and controlling a variety of lights, motors, and other physical outputs. Arduino projects can be stand-alone, or they can communicate with software running on your computer (e.g. Flash, Processing, MaxMSP.) The boards can be assembled by hand or purchased preassembled; the open-source IDE can be downloaded for free.
The Arduino programming language is an implementation of Wiring, a similar physical computing platform, which is based on the Processing multimedia programming environment.
A favorite of ours the Arduino Yun. Contains both the Arduino and Linux systems. Internet enabled.
