Welcome and thank you for joining the

"Asheville Tiny Home Association"

ATHA is committed to helping folks build their own green homes by sharing skills, knowledge and sweat equity. We hope to benefit members directly by reducing the cost of housing & utilities for working families while helping the environment by reducing our carbon footprint.

Hello there! Welcome to our group of like-minded folks inspired by the not-so-recent small and sustainable home and living movement. We are focused on the concept of owning our homes -- rather than our homes "owning" us -- and want to make it possible for the many others who want the same thing.

This group is all about making that dream happen.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could help everyone build practical, economical, durable, alternative energy, green homes for a fraction of the price with help from like-minded folks? These wonderful Meet-Up group forums now make it possible for us bring the people of Asheville together for ‘barn raisings’. Together, we can better our own lives while helping the planet. Please join if you would like to volunteer and build with us!

• Bring attention to a housing (and life) crisis solution: A new type of "affordable housing" and it's ethos

• Learning and information through sharing ideas, speakers, tours and hands-on building experience

• Make small home building more affordable by organizing volunteer labor

• Be a WNC source for events, education, materials and volunteer assistance for small and tiny home building

• Develop a network of small and tiny home communities both local and abroad

Have a related service or product you would like to share with us?

Although this not a venue for making your sales pitch (unless, of course, you have the intention of donating) we encourage you either to offer your product or service at a discount as a membership "Perk" or email me to inquire about other possible options.
