Alex had told me about Kerry Lindsey (fellow member) and his amazing property, "Highland Lake Cove ~ Retreat and Learning Center". Since then, I have been there several times working with Kerry to create learning opporunities for us.
To start off, Kerry has invited us to tour his beautiful propoerty. It's a 200+ acre property with 100+ beautiful wooded acres yet undeveloped. He has designated areas for tiny houses, tree houses and houses on platforms over water.
Currently on the property is an unfinished cob tiny home (on foundation), outdoor kitchen, cob hut, wood workshop, green house, gardens, TEDx stage and outdoor amphitheatre by the lake, community house (under construction) and much more.
This property will be the site for many of our future projects and workshops including building tiny houses and building with cob.
For this introductory event, we will be given an informal tour of the property and wrap it up with making pizzas in an outdoor cob oven using edibles we have picked along the way. Yum!
Here's a link to check out the location...
Thank you to both Kerry and Alex for giving us this opportunity!
