Why is sustainable living important to you?

Because we live in a time of unlimited population growth on planet with limited resources.

How involved do you want to be?... Passive member, plan on attending events, volunteering time, and/or hope to build your own home?

Probably just the former. experiences include my thesis on sustainable living at university and a few building projects in the coastal areas, as well as living in a few wilderness areas with absolutely no shelter except caves and, in the mountains, snow.

What do you hope to get out of this experience?

I hope to be an asset and to be a sponge sharing ideas and experiences.

What skills do you have to offer?

Knowledge of engineering of water and sewer systems, thermal systems.

I live S of Asheville in Henderson County in a wooden home which I am studying on for off the grid living. My I would enjoy sharing notes and ideas with this group and volunteering on some projects to learn by doing.
