November ASBCO Meeting - Let's Get Ready!

Hello Co-Op Members!

I see we have some new members, welcome!   We look forward to meeting you at our next gathering!  Please come and share your ideas and projects!  We can build greener, more responsible homes and communities...Together!

November Topic of Discussion - Alternative Energy!

Please bring any materials, books, brochures, articles, business contacts you may have to the November 17th meeting.  David Funsten will be giving a discussion on PV Solar Energy, but the topic is not limited to only one kind of alternative energy.   Please take a few minutes over the next couple of weeks to learn something new about an alternative energy you are interested in, grab a brochure, get some pricing, to make our discussions lively and interesting!

1st Annual Winter Holiday Pot Luck Dinner for the ASBCO

We still need a venue for the pot luck dinner.  We can’t do it at the clubhouse here, unfortunately.  Could anyone please suggest a venue and would anyone like to come forward to organize the event?  We also need to keep track of how many are coming and what everyone will bring.  The event is currently scheduled for December 15th.  Everyone, please RVSP as early as possible as the number of people coming will effect planning a great deal. Please email me at [address removed] to host, suggest or help plan this event.

Topics of Discussion Needed

I would really like to hear from the membership so we can find out what topics of discussion you are most interested in learning about.  Perhaps take a minute to fill out the Polls on the Meet-Up website.  That would help us get an idea quickly and easily.

Which energy & cost saving elements are you likely to incorporate in your future project?

How important are these factors to your building green or sustainable building projects?

Member Presentations Needed

Members with special learning, please share your knowledge with the group!  After all, that’s what we’re here for, to learn from and help each other.  Just a few words, say 5-10 minutes of information, then we can open up the topic for group discussion and sharing.

Please email me at [address removed] with your ideas or topics you would like to present so we can coordinate the meetings more effectively.

Message Boards & .pdf Files

I just wanted to remind folks to please use and check the message boards & calendar on the Meet-up site.  This would be a great place to keep the exchange of information going.  We have lots of folks with specific expertise in our group, I’m sure they could help with questions.  There are also .pdf files you can download which are being added to as information becomes available.

Hope to see you at our next meeting.  Please come prepared with something interesting to share with the group!

Stay Green!
