A hike to St.Magdalena (1287 m)

Hello Tiroler explorers! 🥾🏔️
Join us this Sunday for a scenic hike to St. Magdalena, a historic former monastery nestled in the Karwendel mountains above Absam.
Starting from Halltal (bus stop: Eichat b. Hall Bettelwurfsiedlung), we’ll follow a well-marked forest road through the beautiful valley, passing old mining landmarks and mountain huts along the way. We will make a lunch break at Alpengasthof St. Magdalena before heading back via the same route (or a scenic alternative trail if conditions allow).
The hike is about 8.5 km long with roughly 500 m of elevation gain, taking around 3 hours of walking time.

🎒 What to bring
• Weather-proof clothes (best worn in layers)
• 🥾 Sturdy hiking shoes with good grip
• Hiking poles are recommended
• ☀️ Sunglasses and sunscreen (recommended)
• 🍎 Snacks and drinks — the plan is to have lunch at the hut, but please bring your own just in case
• Cash 💵 — the hut might not accept card payments
