Just about an hour from Tokyo, Sayama City in Saitama Prefecture is a lush, green town known for producing Sayama tea. This one-day tour offers a hands-on experience at a historic tea farm, including tea picking, tea-making, and tasting. You’ll also visit the Kadokawa Musashino Museum, a unique space where architecture, art, and literature intersect. It’s a day to enjoy both nature and culture.

Meeting Point: 9:05AM at the east exit ticket gate of Sayama-shi Station (Seibu Shinjuku Line) or 8:40 exit ticket gate of Tokorozawa Station (Seibu Shinjuku Line)

Participation Fee (prepayment encouraged)
¥2,900 – For participants who have joined past events
¥3,400 – For first-time participants (includes a ¥500 group participation fee)
*Includes activity and administration fees. Lunch, museum admission, and café expenses are not included.
*In case of bad weather, the activity will be replaced with a matcha-making experience. An additional fee of ¥1,000 will apply.

What You’ll Experience
Tea-picking experience at a historic Sayama tea farm, including a factory tour, tea tasting, and tea leaf tempura
- Lunch at a well-loved local udon restaurant—Saitama is a hidden udon hub
- Community time and connection with fellow participants
- Optional visit to the popular Kadokawa Musashino Museum, including the iconic Bookshelf Theater and Aramata’s Cabinet of Wonders

Time flow
9:00 - Meet at the east exit ticket gate of Sayama-shi Station (Seibu Shinjuku Line)
9:10 - Head to the bus stop
9:18 - Bus departs (Board the “Sayama 31” from Platform 2 at Sayama-shi Station East Exit)

*Meeting point is in front of the east exit ticket gate at Sayama-shi Station.
However, if you're unsure about the location, feel free to reach out.We can also meet at Tokorozawa Station (Seibu Shinjuku Line).
In that case, let's meet at the ticket gate at 8:40, and take the 8:50 train together :)

10:00 - Tea-picking, tea lecture, and factory tour
11:30 - Souvenir shopping (tea and tea sweets)
12:30 - Lunch at a local udon restaurant
13:20 - Bus + train to Kadokawa Musashino Museum
14:40 - Free time at the museum: explore, relax at the café, or visit the shop
16:30 - Dismissal at Higashi-Tokorozawa Station

What to Bring
- Comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for tea fields (hat & sun protection recommended)
- Towel, water, camera
- An open mind and a sense of curiosity for culture and connection

About Tea Leaf Picking
Participants will visit a long-established tea farm in Sayama to experience tea picking, learn about tea production, and enjoy tastings of freshly brewed tea and tea leaf tempura.

About Kadokawa musium
The tour includes an optional visit to the Kadokawa Musashino Museum, known for its striking design and exhibits such as the “Bookshelf Theater” and the “Aramata Wonder Cabinet.” You’ll have free time to explore the museum, café, and shop at your own pace.

9:10 バス停に向かう
9:18 バス出発 (狭山市駅東口 2番線発の "狭山31" に乗ります)
