    Another epic powder snow weekend at our group's favorite ski resort!

    - Nozawa Onsen is considered by many experienced riders as the best ski resort in Japan in terms of everything (mountain/resort layout, consistency of powder snow and weather, tree runs, backcountry, relaxed ski patrols, accessibility/location, apres ski bars, onsens, traditional town and very friendly locals).

    TRIP ITINERARY


    FRIDAY (JAN 27)

    Meet in Shinjuku at 7:30pm

    Get on the bus

    Have some drinks, chat with other members and get excited

    Short stops for food/snacks on the way

    Arrive in Nozawa Onsen around 0:30am

    Check-in at the lodge

    Go straight to sleep (or Heaven for a drink or two)


    SATURDAY (JAN 28)

    Breakfast at 7:30am

    Get the gear on

    Ski/snowboarding (8:30am-5pm)

    Visit one of the FREE public onsens

    Relax at the lodge/have some drinks

    Dinner at 6pm

    Apres-ski party at our local bar (Karaoke Heaven)



    SUNDAY (JAN 29)

    Breakfast at 7:30am

    Get the gear on

    Ski/snowboarding (8:30am-3pm)

    Visit one of the FREE public onsens

    Change clothes/get ready

    Get on the bus at 4pm

    Short stop for food/snacks on the way

    Arrive back in Shinjuku around 8:45pm

    Important Notes

    Reservation required

    •  Itinerary may vary due to the weather, traffic conditions, and other unavoidable circumstances.

    •  Ski/snowboarding off-piste is strictly prohibited.

    •  You MUST have your own insurance (health, social, company, etc.) to be able join.

    •  The hotel we're staying is a nice and clean Japanese style hotel with tatami rooms with toilet in each room. There are also three 'twin bed' rooms available on a first-come/first-served basis.

    •  Twin 'bed' rooms for 2 persons and a Tripe 'bed' room available for an extra fee on a first-come/first-served basis (limited rooms).

    •  Rooms will be allocated to your preference.

    •  Minimum of 4 and maximum of 5 persons for shared rooms.

    •  Male/Female only rooms are available.

    •  Group of friends can have their own room.

    •  Restaurants and shops in the ski resorts don't accept credit cards so please bring enough cash.

    •  Lunch not provided but available at the ski resort.

    •  There will be a 3,000yen fee for ski/snowboard boots JPN size 28.5 and above.

    •  Free ski/snowboarding lesson is on the Saturday from 9:30am until 12pm.

    •  Lift pass will not be provided if you avail the beginners discount.

    •  You don't need a lift pass to join our free ski/snowboarding lessons. However, if you're a fast learner and would want to ride the chairlifts, you can buy a "ride ticket" which costs around[masked]yen per ride. On average, beginners only take the chairlifts 4-5 times the entire weekend. Some beginners, not at all!

    •  We will try to accommodate all dietary requirements. However, we are unable to guarantee the hotel/lodge can cater for every meal.

    •  Soap, shampoo and rinse are provided in the bath (ofuro).

    •  Towels and toothbrush are provided.

    •  You can send your gear by delivery service (takkyubin) to the hotel. Address will be provided upon request.

    •  You must check out of your room before 10am on Monday (Jan 9), and put your belongings in the luggage room before going ski/snowboarding.

    •  Final details will be sent to the participants by email two days before the event.
