Project Night
Project Night
Join us for Python Project Night! Project Nights are informal gatherings where attendees can bring their own projects and work together (or just next to each other). We'll have at least one experienced Python web developer on hand to help less experienced people with their projects. We host these project nights each month in addition to our normal talk meetups. Agenda • 6:30-7:00pm - Arrive, eat and catch up (thank Chief (http://agencychief.com/) for the food!) • 7:00pm-8:45pm - Coworking What could you do at project night, you ask? • Work on your own side projects with other people doing the same • Get help learning Python (or Django or Flask) from more experienced developers. (Or, help mentor other attendees if you're already a whiz) • Ask for a code review for a project you've been working on by yourself • Talk through a particular problem with someone who has solved it before • Just hang out and have some cool conversations! We are cross-listing this event with DC Python, so please RSVP to only one so we can get an accurate headcount.

Sunday Dining - Quality Tavern Dining at St Anselm (Union Market)
**NEW MEMBERS or 1st TIME EVENT GO-ERS** Before attending your first event, please take a moment to understand how our dinners work and what we ask of members. → **[Learn how DC Metro Dining works](https://tinyurl.com/Landing-Page-DC-Metro-Dining)** **RSVP CUTOFF (i.e. Final Change Your Mind if Registered YES)** → **RSVP Cancellation Cutoff for this Event is Sunday 10a, 2/22**. (Late Cancel applies after this, repeat occurrences can impact membership) *** Switching it up this week. I’m in the mood for Tavern style dining and wood-fired cooking, someplace unpretentious and evokes a chill laid-back vibe. We’re headed to **St. Anselm** in **DC** (Union Market) **FOOD**: St. Anselm DC is the sister restaurant to its original location in Brooklyn, NY, and is known for its wood-fired cooking, which features a steakhouse backbone, as well as strong vegetables and sides. Late 2025 and 2026 reviews often highlight the butcher’s steak as a go-to value pick, plus the smoked pork chop for texture and flavor. Oysters and seasonal small plates show up often in recent writeups as strong starters. Sides get a lot of love in reviews too, especially the beef-fat mashed potatoes and roasted carrots. Ordering a mix and sharing works well here. Very good cocktails and a nice eclectic wine program here. → **Explore St Anselm's menu**: [https://stanselmdc.com/menus/dinner-new/](https://stanselmdc.com/menus/dinner-new/)**.** **SPACE**: St. Anselm has a warm, lively dining room in the Union Market area with an open-kitchen feel and a steady pace. Generally, it's considered busy but has a friendly vibe. Good for small groups. Noise trends lively, so the table will feel energetic. Conversation is still workable, especially at an early evening seating. → Visit the restaurant site: [https://stanselmdc.com](https://stanselmdc.com) +++++++++ ==> Tax/Tip combo is our required 30% tax/tip policy (see the FAQs for more details). ==> Limited to 8 slots See you there! JoeN \*\*\* **CLOSEST METRO**: * **NoMa-Gallaudet U** (Red Line) is the closest major stop. Exit toward **Morse Street NE**, walk **northeast on Morse Street NE** to **550 Morse St NE**, just inside Union Market. The walk is about **6–8 minutes**. * For directions using the Metro, try using the Plan a Trip feature at the WMATA website ([click on your preferred Metro station](https://www.wmata.com/rider-guide/stations/index.cfm) then at the Station page level click "Plan a Trip". **PARKING**: Parking options include Union Market valet on **5th & Neal Streets NE** and nearby garages. Street parking can be limited, especially on weekend evenings—Metro or rideshare is recommended. *** ***Attendance Notes:*** * **If you RSVP “YES,” please commit to showing up**. With 5,800+ members and limited seating, we can’t afford no-shows. It’s not fair to other members or to our relationship with the restaurant. * **No-Show / Late Cancel rules apply** (see links below). * **Can’t get a slot?** Join the Waitlist and check back frequently—spots often open up before Noon on the day of the event. You may also receive midweek confirmation emails to reconfirm your RSVP, so please check your inbox. * **Billing Reminder**: Add 30% for tax and tip to your food and drink total. This is part of our group’s expectations and helps smooth out service with the restaurant. * **New Members / 1st Timers**: [Visit our FAQs](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1C0GeZMWGwc1akHj63aViQ_5n1YpBqPt_/edit?usp=drivesdk&ouid=107783167750249492259&rtpof=true&sd=true) and [No-Show Policy](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1BU0ZjQNdMwTjIkZVGlOlw8rTIia5xWhE/edit?usp=drivesdk&ouid=107783167750249492259&rtpof=true&sd=true) if you're unfamiliar with how we run things.
