Sunday Tech Coffee Meetup
Sunday Tech Coffee Meetup
Welcome to Sunday Tech Coffee. This is a **networking** event for those in the tech industry in Berlin. We are usually inside and to the right
Solo travellers: casual hangout in Berlin (4pm)
Solo travellers: casual hangout in Berlin (4pm)
**No pressure, no plan—just new friends** ✨ Whether you’re visiting Berlin for the first time, recently relocated, or simply love connecting with curious people, this weekly meetup is the perfect way to share stories, make friends, and go explore, as a group, the magic that Berlin has to offer 🇩🇪 **What to expect?** • **Casual & hostless**: no formal host, no schedule: just show up, be yourself, meet fellow solo travellers & expats and decide as a group where you feel like going • **Central meeting point**: it is surrounded by cultural landmarks, cafes, and restaurants, making it a convenient and safe starting point. • **Open to everyone**: whether you are a local, an expat or just passing through for a few days, you are welcome to join. (English is the primary language, but feel free to switch of course) **How to talk with strangers?** (and create meaningful connections) To help you get started, I curated a little game of **[ridiculously good questions](https://www.pierrebonvalot.com/theblog?p=285a9711d7df80d5ac25dd4ef8fe5394&pm=c)** you can ask to break the ice, shift the conversation from dull to intriguing and fun, and eventually create meaningful connection quickly. I hope this helps! **The only things you need to do are…** • Leave a message in the comment section to let the others know that you will actually be there (I don’t want you to end up alone there :) • If you can’t make it anymore, no problem! But please update your RSVP to let the others know • Please be gentle and patient with each other. We all want to make good friends here. **Why join?** • Meet open-minded travellers and locals who are keen to connect, learn and have fun together. • Experience Berlin... as a group. • Be part of a global community that celebrates solo travelling and meaningful connections between foreign and locals. **How does it works?** 1\. Arrive at the meeting spot at the scheduled time\. 2\. Look for other joiners—friendly faces and curious explorers\. 3\. Introduce yourself\, connect with others\, and decide as a group where to go\. **When & where?** • Day: every Sunday • Time: 4:00 PM (meetup sometimes displays a different time zone: but it’s always 4pm local time) • Location: in front of the Indischer Brunnen **Hostless**: I am setting up the event for you all to meet, but I won't be there myself this time :) **Hi my names is Pierre** I created this Meetup group because I want to see more human connection happen in the real world. I feel many of us want this, but don't exactly know how to go about it. I hope this helps a little bit. I also work as a transformational coach: I help people who feel stuck in their life to reconnect with themselves, create real change and ultimately live more fulfilling lives. 🔗 bento.me/pierrebonvalot

Chitta Walks - Awareness in Motion
Chitta Walks - Awareness in Motion
Chitta Walks is for people whose days move fast, while the mind never fully lands. Even when nothing is urgent, thoughts keep looping. Sometimes you are moving, but mentally elsewhere. Other times the mind runs ahead, while the body feels heavy and stuck. Over time, that mismatch drains clarity, ease, and presence. This walk is a simple reset. We meet in Berlin’s Tiergarten and walk at a gentle pace. Parts of the walk are in silence, with light guidance and a few short prompts. The walk itself is the practice, reconnecting body and mind in the same moment. No apps. No performance. No techniques to master. Just a clear container to slow down and notice what is actually happening. If you want to slow down without withdrawing from life, join us for a Chitta Walk. **What to expect (approx. 90 minutes):** * A short arrival and orientation * A guided silent walk (phones off, no conversation) * One concise science-based impulse on attention or stress * Optional reflection in pairs or small groups * A simple takeaway or experiment for daily life **Who this is for:** * Professionals, creatives, and people in transition. * People who feel mentally busy and want more clarity and balance. * Those curious about mindfulness, but grounded and practical. * Anyone comfortable with silence and gentle self observation. **Practical notes:** * Duration: 60-90 minutes * Wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing * No prior experience needed * Group size is limited to keep the space quiet and focused **Facilitator:** My name is Partha Sarathi, you can call me PS. I have lived in Berlin for over 12 years. With a background in physics and materials science, my interest in mindfulness grew through personal experience with stress and health challenges. I facilitate the space and structure of the walk, inviting shared exploration rather than instruction. **Why Chitta Walks?** Chitta is a Sanskrit word that refers to the mind or field of awareness. Here it is used in a practical, non-religious sense. Chitta Walks is about noticing how the mind works by slowing down and walking together. Mindful walking makes thought patterns visible in real time, while moving and sensing in the world. The name points to a simple skill: noticing what is happening in the mind without immediately trying to fix, judge, or optimize it. Chitta Walks is about understanding how the mind works by slowing down and walking together. Mindful walking makes this visible in real time, while moving, sensing, and being in the world, not withdrawn from it. The name points to a simple capacity: noticing what is happening in the mind without immediately trying to fix, judge, or optimize it. **Possible effects:** A calmer nervous system. Clearer attention. A felt sense of being more present in your body. Subtle insights into how your mind reacts under everyday conditions. A quieter, more grounded way of moving through the city. **Come as you are. Walk. Notice. Leave with a little more space inside.**
Coffee with Jung: Americanos and Alchemy
Coffee with Jung: Americanos and Alchemy
Just as the moon wanes and waxes in its cycle, the journey of transformation is an enduring rhythm. Each phase in the turns of our lives evokes in us deep psychological and symbolic processes. For, we are the material of transformation. We both tend to and feel the fires that burn away the old self to reveal what will come. Jung associated the four alchemical stages of the transformation process: Nigredo (black), Albedo (white), Citrinitas (yellow), and Rubedo (red) with the stages of personal change. We’ll begin with a short overview of Jung's work on alchemy, focusing on the theory, and include some reflections from his students. Then, we'll move into an open conversation around the themes of transformation, symbol, archetype, and resilience. Consent / Learning about boundaries and communication
Consent / Learning about boundaries and communication
**Embodied Consent in ENGLISH** **Learning about boundaries and communication** with ***Karl-Henrik Sahlén*** für **LGBTQIA+** **English** **[free event with registration](https://wearevillage.org/en/shop/embodied-consent/w03-2026)** Being aware of your boundaries and expressing your consent or non-consent are essential skills in life, but we don’t often get a chance to actually practice consent skills in the same way we practice other skills, like singing, playing sports or learning a language. Consent is about much more than a simple yes or no. When we deconstruct consent, we discover how to communicate our true desires and stop choosing the things we don’t. Through discussion, movement and partner games, we will build tools to express and negotiate physical desires and set boundaries through the use of practical exercises. This workshop is inclusive and welcoming to individuals of all body sizes, genders, and background. This is a non-sexual workshop, and great, low pressure situation in which to practice communication and touching. It’s as much about how to truly say yes and mean it as it is about saying no! If you’ve not yet taken a consent workshop at the village, now is the time! This experience will not only help you navigate within the we.are.village community, but it will also equip you to carry these values into your life. Together, we aim to nurture a consent-centered community with shared values, emphasizing individual responsibility in upholding these principles. Our ultimate goal is to foster healthy relationships and create an inclusive community for a better, more connected future. **General Information** * **Registration**: max. 18 participants with registration. Limiting the number of participants is necessary to ensure the quality of the process. * **Language**: This workshop is conducted in **ENGLISH**. To ensure a better understanding of the subject, it is led alternately by a German-speaking teacher and an English-speaking teacher. Please select the workshop that best suits your language needs.

Evening of Meditation - Openness to learning
Evening of Meditation - Openness to learning
We are inviting you to our next Evening of Meditation on **Sunday, the 18th of January**. These gatherings are not just about meditating on your own, but a step inward that we take together regarding a particular topic. As children, we are all more curious and open to learn about everything. Over time, however, something changes. We tend to enter a state where learning becomes difficult, and resistance arises that prevents us from welcoming new insights and experiences into our lives. Let’s explore together how we can rediscover **Openness to learning** to create a richer experience of life. 📍Where: [Yoga Sky](https://maps.app.goo.gl/kBxUvZrqo5yzRNe88?g_st=ipc), Am Tempelhofer Berg 7d, 10965 Berlin Follow the Yoga Sky signs in the yard, and take the elevator to the top floor. 🗓 When: Sunday, 18th of January, 19:00 - 20:30 Please arrive 5-10 min earlier to settle down. 🎟️ Entry: € 5, just to pay for the space (in cash or PayPal) For more info go to: [https://onenessberlin.com/](https://onenessberlin.com/) You’re welcome, no matter your background or experience.

Productive Sunday Morning - Co-Working Session (Deep Work, all work welcome)
Productive Sunday Morning - Co-Working Session (Deep Work, all work welcome)
Hey everyone! I’m organising a co-working + socialising session for all of us who like to work on something (e.g. our own project, freelance or remote work) but don't feel like sitting alone at home. 🙂 To ensure that we have both **socialising** AND **working**, we will be using the so called “Pomodoro” technique: **50min of deep work** (silent), followed by **10min of break** to socialise. Then repeat! If you get into flow, you're also welcome to skip the breaks. It’s an effective way to stay focused - you can read more about it [here](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pomodoro_Technique). Anyone from any background is welcome, whatever project you are working on or whatever is your personal background. I (the host) speak English and German, so either is fine :-) ——————————————————- AGENDA: * **15min Intro** * Get to know everyone, talk about what you will work on today * **Pomodoro Session** (3x) - *Each Pomodoro session consists* *of...* * ...**50min** of uninterrupted “deep work” (no talking, no interruptions, no phones) * ...**10min** of break: share your progress with others, talk about what you are stuck on etc. * Repeat * Conclude and celebrate your progress Share your progress, socialise and get to know others 😊 ———— We'll be at the Social Hub Berlin (they have a food menu in case you get hungry). The structured part will end at 2:30pm, but you're welcome to stay longer, go for lunch together, or leave earlier. See you there 🩵 **\*\*We'll reserve the long table. Please update your RSVP in advance if you can't attend!\*\***
