Tabletop Board Games

Come meet other 20s and 30s and play board games at The Spot Asian Food Hall in Rockville Town Center. We'll play from 1-3 pm but could go later if folks are interested. Bring games you'd like to play if you've got them. Since The Spot has limited seating, please keep your RSVP up to date.

**Join the BreadBreakers community for an evening of connection and comradery over the timeless art of boardgaming!** BreadBreakers is a community where people of all different belief systems and backgrounds create community and have meaningful conversation. Usually we do that over the dinner table, but sometimes you've got to change it up a bit! Here's what to expect: * A kind, welcoming atmosphere and community * Several familiar, and several novel boardgames. * Snacks :) * We'll be gathering in Meeting Room 1 at the Reston Regional Library. * Feel free to bring a board game to share if you'd like! **I've never attended a BreadBreakers event before - what is BreadBreakers?** BreadBreakers is a community where neighbors from all different beliefs and backgrounds can **hear, be heard, and know one another.** Most frequently, we do this through the ancient practice of breaking bread around a common dining table. But we're more than just a discussion group - we're a movement to heal our world's broken discourse and forge togetherness in a time of isolation and loneliness. **Through the sacred act of just "being" together, we're working to rebuild the town square, one table (or game night) at a time.** BreadBreakers is a religiously inclusive by Restoration United Methodist Church in Reston, VA. All faiths, beliefs, and stripes are welcomed, and our leadership and community include people who attend Restoration and people who don't.

Markos Delphi’s curiosity has taken a tragic turn. A Far Realm entity has taken control of Markos, compelling him to commit evil acts. At it’s command, Markos is using a book called *The Celestial Codex* for some occult ritual. The book’s rightful owner hired adventurers to retrieve *The Celestial Codex* and prevent Markos from using it, but these adventurers fell prey to the horrors of Delphi Mansion. A new group of adventurers—you—must now complete the task. Come join us for some fun and games at Huzzah Hobbies! We play a variety of games such as strategy, co-ops, or party games. This is a great way to meet new people, play some new games, and have some fun at the same time! Plus, the snack bar is now open! Nachos, chips, candy, drinks. Seeking fame, fortune, and the thrill of discovery, you and your companions seek a ziggurat recently exposed by a sandstorm, built by the ancient civilization of Cynidicea. Who knows what adventures await within? This is a **Tier 1 mini-campaign** that will last approximately 6 sessions (3 months, every other week). Attendees are expected to commit to the whole series when signing up, and preference is given to those newer to NOVA AL and those who have not played in a campaign before. This will be a fun night of board games hosted at our house! Feel free to bring some games if you'd like. No experience necessary, I will be happy to teach any and all games. Below are some important logistical details. * Arrive on time! - I will typically wait about 15 minutes after to begin playing. If you come much later than that games will be in progress and there is a high probability you won't be able to play a game that night as we usually only run two to three tables and often only play one game per table per night. * Ring the doorbell if the door is not open. I can't hear anyone knocking on the door as we are in the basement. You can also send me a message on Meet up if you would prefer for me to let you in. * If you would like to bring a game to the group that you want to play, please post the game along with a link to a tutorial in the event chat so people can prep to play if they plan on playing too. Also arrive 10-15 minutes early so you can set your game up and be prepared to teach the game. *

This event is hosted using the Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition Adventurers League rules.
