This is an opportunity for volunteers to support a professional mechanic as he guides customers working on their own bikes. If you know how to do some basic repairs, that's a plus, but even if you don't, you can greet customers and manage who gets helped next. Feel free to attend for only a portion of the time if you can't be there the whole three hours. Please note that this event is not usually an opportunity to learn about bicycle repair, since the mechanic tends to be very busy helping customers, especially during the warmer months. But it's a great way to contribute to Velocity, since almost all the funding for the volunteer program comes from the work done at the shops.

This group was originally started by Chad Keith who created and hosts a podcast by the same name in Charlotte, NC. I am hoping to continue his legacy here in NoVa as I recently moved to this area. This group is all about finding community around self-improvement and exchanging ideas on how to be your best self and get the most out of life. This group is for anyone who is interested in overcoming average in all areas - career, ambitions, relationships, hobbies, health, everything. **Join the BreadBreakers community for an evening of connection and comradery over the timeless art of boardgaming!** BreadBreakers is a community where people of all different belief systems and backgrounds create community and have meaningful conversation. Usually we do that over the dinner table, but sometimes you've got to change it up a bit! Here's what to expect: * A kind, welcoming atmosphere and community * Several familiar, and several novel boardgames. * Snacks :) * We'll be gathering in Meeting Room 1 at the Reston Regional Library. * Feel free to bring a board game to share if you'd like! **I've never attended a BreadBreakers event before - what is BreadBreakers?** BreadBreakers is a community where neighbors from all different beliefs and backgrounds can **hear, be heard, and know one another.** Most frequently, we do this through the ancient practice of breaking bread around a common dining table. But we're more than just a discussion group - we're a movement to heal our world's broken discourse and forge togetherness in a time of isolation and loneliness. **Through the sacred act of just "being" together, we're working to rebuild the town square, one table (or game night) at a time.** BreadBreakers is a religiously inclusive by Restoration United Methodist Church in Reston, VA. All faiths, beliefs, and stripes are welcomed, and our leadership and community include people who attend Restoration and people who don't.

We will gather for monthly fellowship, education, advocacy, sharing and community at the Aspen Hill Library from 2 - 4 pm. We will talk about the educational programming for 2026, share psychedelic experiences and how psychedelics have affected our lives. Bring your favorite story about psychedelics - how they've helped you or someone you love. This is a mostly-social event but will include a legislative update and any interesting brief reports on research findings. Our educational programming will occur in March. Please come! Let the Sunshine in, and join board game enthusiast James, CCAN volunteer, for an evening of board games featuring Solar Power, and other renewable energy, as their primary theme. We'll be meeting at Curio Cavern, a long time Friendly Local Gamestore in Springfield, and they have plenty of snacks on hand if you're a snacker. We'll also have information about Solar policies and legislation going on in Virginia for those who are curious. I've set the attendee limit to 10 because I'm not sure how much table space there will be, and the board games can only support so many players.
