Listening to Greek Music Together (Calm & Conversational)
### About this session
This is a small, relaxed session focused on listening to Greek music and talking together about what we hear.
We will listen to one or more Greek songs played softly via a small speaker. We may pause to talk â mainly in English â about the mood, feeling, themes, and cultural context of the music. Sometimes we may talk more; sometimes we may simply listen.
This is **not a class, performance, or lesson**.
It is a calm listening and conversation circle.
I run this session because I genuinely enjoy listening to Greek music myself, and others are welcome to join in that experience.
You do **not** need to speak Greek, read Greek, or have any musical background. Listening quietly is perfectly fine.
Lyrics are **not** displayed or distributed. Any discussion of meaning is informal and exploratory, not authoritative.
The session will go ahead even if the group is small.
Places are limited due to room capacity. Please RSVP in advance.

* Insights into its internals
Based on the Sourcegraph blog âBuilding conc: Better Structured Concurrency for Go.â
**Automating anti-fragility**
Nick Spain, Head of Platform, Stile Education
At Stile we have a bug zero policy. This encompasses actions items (for reducing toil and preventing future incidents) and test flake. This means we actively prioritise bugs all the time, they're not languishing in the backlog, action items are completed whilst people still have context, and we consistently work to reduce test flake. I will talk about: How this policy is implemented, what tooling we use to help us, and how we have automated this work using AI.

Leading in the Age of AI
A deep dive into the People-first Leadership domain of the Business Agility model
What leadership behaviours are necessary for your organisation to remain competitive in today's era of AI adoption â where technology is advancing faster than organisational leadership systems can adapt.
In this interactive 60-minute session, you will deep dive into the People-first Leadership domain of the Business Agility Instituteâs Business Agility Model, examining how leadership must evolve to enable effective, ethical, and sustainable AI adoption.
AI doesnât just change tools and processes â it reshapes decision-making, accountability, trust, learning, and power dynamics. This session explores how the leadership domain addresses those shifts through its underlying capabilities and observable behaviors, including:
⢠Fostering authentic relationships in environments increasingly mediated by AI
⢠Empowering with accountability when decisions are augmented (or automated)
⢠Realising peopleâs potential as learning, judgment, and creativity become the human differentiators
This is not a theory-heavy talk. The session is designed around dialogue, reflection, and shared experience, drawing on what participants are seeing firsthand as AI enters their organisations.
What youâll gain:
⢠A clear leadership lens for navigating AI adoption beyond tools and frameworks
⢠Insight into which leadership behaviors accelerate AI-enabled value
⢠Practical takeaways and leadership experiments you can apply immediately
The session will be facilitated by Leo Marando, leadership coach, experienced organisational design & transformation consultant, and co-organiser of MelBAM.
Pizza and drinks will be provided, thanks to our sponsor, TeamForm đđť â because the best learning happens through great conversations (and with a full stomach).
Come ready to think, share, and rethink what leadership means in the age of AI.

Free Online Event | Is Love Something You DO?
We all know about love in our personal relationships, that itâs not just something you think or even say but that itâs something you show by putting what youâre feeling into practice. But what happens when we think about love in a wider context? How do we embrace loving those beyond our existing circles? What about all of humanity? Is it enough to simply feel love for all mankind, or do we also have to seek out ways to put that into practice? This can seem like a daunting task, but even coming together with people of different backgrounds and beliefs and exploring these ideas together in an open and respectful setting can help contribute to creating the world we want to see!
Come join a different kind of conversation â one that welcomes every perspective in a search for the truths that unite us all â as we discuss the spiritual perspectives offered by the BahĂĄâĂ Teachings on the power of love in action. Join us for a lively discussion as we explore how developing that practice in ourselves and in others can help create the change we want to see in the world.
*âDo not be content with showing friendship in words alone, let your heart burn with loving kindness for all who may cross your path.â* â BahĂĄâĂ Teachings
\*\*\* This event is free and open to all regardless of background or belief. Donations will not be accepted.

Native Plant Book Club: Animal, Vegetable, Miracle
Join our partners Watermark Woods Native Plants, Loudoun County Public Library (LCPL), and Birch Tree Bookstore for the Read! Plant! Grow! Book Club, which focuses on native plants, sponsored by Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy and LCPL. At this meeting weâll discuss the book Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver. Both memoir and journalistic investigation, this book explores how the Kingsolver family took on a new challenge: to spend a year on a locally -produced diet, paying close attention to the provenance of all they consume. Concerned about the environmental, social, and physical costs of American food culture, they hoped to recover what Kingsolver considers our nationââs lost appreciation for farms and the natural processes of food production.
You can either buy the book from Birch Tree Bookstore or contact Allison Forbes at [Allison.forbes@loudoun.gov](mailto:Allison.forbes@loudoun.gov) to borrow a copy of the book at the library.
