The first mile is uphill to the Massanuten Trail. We follow that south to the Woodstock Tower. The views from up there are nice and unobstructed for 360 degrees. We then return the way we came. The trail is pretty well maintained but overgrown in places. Hiking pants and sticks are recommended. We'll hike at a 2.0 to 2.5 mph. We will start hiking at 0900.
