*Thank you to everyone who came out to the inaugural meeting of Hwatu Hangout in January! It was a lot of fun, and I'm looking forward to seeing you all again and hopefully some new faces as well\~* 😊 **FOR BEGINNERS** If you've ever seen Korean movies or K-dramas, you may have seen characters play with small red cards decorated with flowers and animals. Those cards are called "hwatu" or flower cards. The most popular game played with hwatu is "Go-Stop". Come to this next Hwatu Hangout (Plum Blossom Edition!), and learn how to play this awesome game. It can take some time to orient yourself with the cards and rules, but once you do, there's no turning back. It's major fun. **FOR EXPERIENCED PLAYERS** No Tazza-style deck rigging or hand chopping. Most importantly, *no gambling*. We may play with plastic chips to raise the faux stakes, but that's it! If you'd like to skip the lesson/demo, then please arrive at 2p for game play. **THE PLAN** * **1:00p - 1:40p**: Learn how to play * **1:40p - 2:00p**: Demo Game * **2:00p - 4:00p**: Game play **THE LOCATION** We will be meeting again at Fairfax Wegmans on the 2nd Floor. If you want a chance to put into practice what you learned in this class, you can sign up for the Tarot Practicum, which follows immediately after. ($5 discount on this class, if you take both, making a $10 total discount. Remember to register for both classes individually.)

A friendly meetup to play both competitive and cooperative board games. Bring some games if you’d like, but don’t worry, we will have plenty to play. Come join us for some fun, games, and camaraderie. Limited space this event due to smalller room! Max 12 participants, sign up before it fills up! Last minute sign ups are welcome, as long as you actually attend. Arriving without securing a spot on Meetup will not be permitted, there is limited space and it’s first come first serve. If the event is full, you are welcome to join the wait list.

Join us for cards at the MLK Library ! (Location May change depending on survey responses) Planning to have more than 1 table/game depending on how many people show up. Join Gypsy Dervish as he leads us through the basic practice of reading the Tarot. Ask questions , participate in group readings, and read for other participants. For those of you taking the Tarot 101 classes, this will also be a chance to put into practice what you learned there. ($5 discount on this class, if you take both, making a $10 total discount. Remember to register for both classes individually. You do not need to take Tarot 101 to participate in the practicum.)
