This meetup is designed to be an open forum amongst our community. We intend for it to be an opportunity for members to showcase what projects we've been working on this year related to Linux and AWS. If you are a current (or aspiring) professional looking for a practical way to build your experience with Linux and cloud computing, this event is for you! About us: Respect The Tech is an organization focused on information technology education and innovation. Our mission is to innovate technology education through virtual labs and gamified training. All of our team members are experienced professionals in the cybersecurity and cloud computing field. We are based out of the DMV and aim to serve the DMV with the same tools that enabled us to be successful with technology. *** Requirements: A functional laptop AWS account created and ready to use (free tier recommended)

The weather should be good for a Tuesday evening walk of Bethesda MD. We'll meet at 6 pm outside the Medical Center Metro Station (Walter Reed Side of Rockville Pike) and walk south along Rockville Pike to Jones Bridge Road, then walk south along Maryland Avenue and Pearl Street to Montgomery Avenue, and then north again along Rockville Pike back to the Medical Center Metro Station. Total distance is about 3 miles and will take about 90 minutes.

I'm going to host this walk again since we had small (but mighty) group last time due to rain **Time:** \~6pm-8:15pm **Start/End Location:** Columbia Heights Metro Station (plaza across from Lidl etc) **Map:** [Plotaroute](https://www.plotaroute.com/route/3162591?units=km) **Millage:** 4.0 **Terrain:** There will mostly be paved and level ground. **Route:** * Start at Columbia Heights Metro and walk north up 14th St to around Spring Rd. * Go east along Spring / nearby streets, then drop south through the interior rowhouse blocks toward Monroe. * Keep working south via 13th and side streets until the Florida Ave / W St . * Optional: stop by parking lot at Cardozo for a notable view of the city skyline * Swing west toward 16th St * Head north through Meridian Hill / Malcolm X Park, along 16th, and nearby blocks. * Cut back east toward 14th St and finish at the Columbia Heights plaza / Metro. \-\-\- We try to be punctual with our event times so please be respectful to others and show up a few minutes early. Note, we often limit the RSVPs to keep group sizes manageable. If you are on the waitlist but would really like to join, reach out to the organizer. Our events prioritize metro accessibility by meeting and ending at metro stations. Sometimes we start/stop at the same station, sometimes we do not. Competitive Wallyball Monday Event is for players that know or learn how to play Wallyball positions. Have strong skills in pass, set, spike. No shows will be tracked and players will be removed. \*New Players if you are an A/BB volleyball player you should come out and try it on a Thur but if we have room Host Decision just DM them \*New Players BB/B should come out on a Tues or Thurs to have fun learning the walls and improving skills.
